Renewal for Rolls-Royce

TheUS Navyhas extended an engine services contract withRolls-Royceto provide support for the F405 engines which power T-45 training aircraft. The contract, which has been renewed for a fourth year, is worth $65m to Rolls-Royce.

Rolls-Royce, the sole provider of logistics support for the F405 (Adour) engine within the US Navy inventory, says it has exceeded engine availability targets since the program began, supporting the US Navy’s advanced training mission.

The contract, developed in line with commercial Power By The Hour agreements under a fixed price per aircraft flight hours, has one option year remaining.

The contract is administered by the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) at NATC Patuxent Riverand the work is split between Meridianand Kingsville, Texas, along with some functions at Patuxent River, Maryland .劳斯莱斯雇佣超过70维修、供应and management personnel at the two bases in support of this program.
